JANNA

Practice Manager

Janna was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2019. She brings experience in both emergency and specialty veterinary medicine, along with a passion for supporting our team and providing exceptional care for our patients.

As Practice Manager, Janna’s favorite part of the job is, of course, the adorable patients—but she especially enjoys taking care of the people who care for them. She believes a supported, happy team is the key to outstanding patient care.

Outside of work, Janna enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their two daughters, caring for her plants, reading, and enjoying matcha, coffee, and sushi. At home, she’s kept busy by her Labradoodle, Nellie, Goldendoodle, Kuzco, and her three-legged long-haired cat, Mittens.

Melissa

Inventory and Social Media Manager

Melissa has been part of the Sangaree Animal Hospital family since 1996, starting at our Main Street location alongside our founder, Dr. Kevin McGinn. She spent over 25 years as a Client Services Representative before stepping into her current role in managing inventory and social media. One of the most rewarding parts of her job is watching new puppies and kittens grow up and building lasting relationships with their families over the years.

Outside of work, Melissa shares her home with three children, two dogs—Alli (a Boykin Spaniel) and Cooper (a Springer Spaniel)—and a few cats. She’s a big seafood fan, especially shrimp and oysters, and loves dining at The Wreck of the Richard & Charlene and relaxing with a good movie. Pretty Woman starring Julia Roberts is a longtime favorite, and she never misses a Diane Keaton film.

Melissa’s top tip for new pet parents: start trimming your pet’s nails early and regularly—it makes a big difference down the road!

Anna

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Anna has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with our practice since May 2023. A South Carolina native, she grew up in a military family and had the opportunity to live all over the United States. Those experiences helped shape her adaptable, compassionate nature and her ability to connect with clients and patients from all walks of life.

Anna is passionate about providing attentive, high-quality care to every pet she meets. She takes pride in educating clients and helping them feel confident and supported in their pet’s healthcare journey. Her calm demeanor and gentle approach help create a positive experience for both pets and their families.

At home, Anna cares for her two cats, Leo and Jupiter. Leo is her sweet diabetic senior cat who has deepened her understanding of managing chronic conditions and the special bond that forms through dedicated care. Jupiter was a “foster fail,” originally found as a stray kitten and quickly winning Anna’s heart.

In her free time, Anna enjoys exploring nature trails, playing video games, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Momma Kitty

Momma Kitty

Office Kitty

Momma Kitty joined our clinic family in 2021, arriving with her four adorable babies in tow. While all of her kittens were adopted into loving homes, Momma Kitty captured our hearts—and clearly decided this was home. We couldn’t imagine the clinic without her!

This spunky short-haired tri-colored tabby has fully embraced her role as resident supervisor. Most days, you’ll find her perched proudly on her cat tree, carefully monitoring the birds and passersby in the shopping plaza like the dedicated guardian she is. She also makes her rounds inside the clinic, overseeing appointments of all kinds—from tiny kittens to large dogs—with confident curiosity and confidence.

Momma Kitty never turns down a Churu treat and has perfected the art of reminding the team exactly when it’s feeding time. With her big personality, loving spirit, and a touch of sass, she brings warmth, entertainment, and a little extra charm to our clinic every single day.

Marbles

Office Kitty

Marbles joined our clinic family in 2025 and has been running the doctors' office ever since—mostly from the comfort of her cozy bed! This affectionate and beautiful long-haired tortoiseshell quickly made herself at home and can usually be found holding down the fort on Dr. Webster and Dr. Bartolec’s desks.

When she’s not supervising appointments, Marbles spends her day napping in her favorite spot, soaking up attention, and rubbing her head on just about everything (and everyone) within reach. Her sweet personality and constant presence bring an extra layer of warmth and comfort to our clinic environment. Marbles takes her role as clinic ambassador very seriously—greeting staff and reminding us all to slow down and enjoy a cozy moment whenever possible.
